2023 PCA Awards and PCA Fly-In
Ash Grove demonstrated a phenomenal presence at the annual PCA Awards honoring 2023 achievements and performance. In addition to the awards ceremony, the PCA hosts an annual Fly-In which allows PCA members to meet with their elected officials to discuss the pertinent issues in the world of cement manufacturing.
This year, our time with elected officials was focused on a few key issues:
Recently, the PM2.5 Ambient Standard was lowered and will impact our ability to grow and improve our plant operations
Garnering support for the use of Alternative Fuels in our process to promote circularity and reduce carbon footprint
Searching for a long-term fix for transportation funding
Highlighting the work we are doing at Ash Grove to meet environmental challenges and growth in this country
Leadership from across Ash Grove was in attendance, including regional presidents, members of our Environmental and Sustainability team, plant managers, and more. It was a pleasure having so many Ash Grove faces in attendance for such a momentous occasion.
We are honored to have been recognized for six awards at this year’s event. Plants across our organization were recognized for performance in Energy and Environmental Efficiency, Safety, and Safety Innovation. We are so proud of our teams who work tirelessly to produce quality products with a focus on safety and innovation. Below is a list of the awards granted to Ash Grove.
